The Park Distance Control warns of the potential risk of colliding with obstacles during parking by drawing data from the sensors, the driving parameters, and the steering wheel angle. To avoid those parking situations where you don’t brake in time in response to the distance alerts, the Superb Combi incorporates Manoeuvre Assist, a feature that stops the car to avoid collision.

This system prevents a collision with a person when reversing by analysing the area behind the car using the rear-view camera image and braking the car if a human figure is detected at a risky distance.

Providing you with comfort and orientation during a parking procedure, the rear-view camera uses a camera located on the tailgate handle. Working with the infotainment screen, the system shows the space behind the car and indicates dynamic guide lines, based on the vehicle width.
