Whether caused by nails or sharp kerbs and stones, tyres are often damaged to such an extent, that you have no choice but to replace them. So, in order to keep ruined tyres from leaving you out-of-pocket, we bring you the Škoda Tyre Insurance scheme.
How do I get ŠkodaTyre Insurance?
All new Škoda vehicles registered after 1st of July 2022 automatically come with 3 years free tyre insurance.
What does Škoda Tyre Insurance cover?
Only those tyre defects that cannot be repaired
- Sidewall puncture
- Kerb damage
- Blow out (As a result of the above)
- Vandalism (must submit Gardai report)
- Mounting of the new tyre and tyre disposal charge
What does Škoda Tyre Insurance not cover?
- Paraxial tyre replacement
- Tyre failure as a result of normal wear
- Damage where thread depth is below 1.6mm

- Contact Škoda assist at 1800 202 102 (freephone). They will assist to fit the spare wheel to keep you mobile.
- Contact your local authorized Škoda dealer to advise them you have tyre damage and tyre insurance.

How long will it take to replace my tyre?
Škoda dealers hold an amount of tyres in their tyre stock portfolio. However, not every tyre will be on hand. If the tyre is not on the shelf, our tyre partner Modern tyres will do their best to have the correct tyre delivered within 24 hours of ordering (mid-week).
Am I entitled to a replacement car during my repair?
Under basic breakdown assist, you are not entitled to a replacement vehicle while your vehicle is off the road due to tyre damage.
What is the difference between Tyre Insurance and a Tyre and Maintenance Plan?
Tyre insurance covers in the event of damage caused due to an outside influence. Tyre maintenance plans are a completely different product. Tyre maintenance plans are for normal wear and tear.
